Olaf Bernau

Olaf Bernau lives and works in Bremen and has been involved with afrique-europe-interact for many years now, a transnational network of grassroots initiatives organised by activists in countries including Mali, Togo, Burkina Faso, Guinea, Germany, Austria and the Netherlands. The organisations involved also include the COPON grassroots agricultural trade union in Mali. In addition to assisting with refugee and migration

issues, tackling the impact of land grabbing is one of the key focuses of the work carried out by afrique-europe-interact. FilmInitiativ has cooperated with afrique-europe-interact on a number of occasions, such as the North Africa event NO MORE FEAR in 2011, when the documentary VOICES OF CAMP CHOUCHA about a refugee camp on the Libya-Tunisia border was presented and discussed.
