Biography
Luck Razanajaona is a promising talent among young filmmakers from Madagascar. He filmed his first short documentary AMEO RANO in 2009. Since then he has completed at least one production each year. In 2012, he was invited to the Talent Campus in Berlin and in Durban, South Africa. In the meantime Razanajaona has also filmed outside Madagascar, namely in Morocco, Germany, and on La Réunion. The short film ZEBU AN’I DADILAHY (2012), which is to be screened in Cologne, has been shown around the world and has garnered awards including the jury prize at the Festival Couleurs Malgaches 2013 in Nantes. His second festival contribution MADAMA ESTHER was included in the official competition of the 2013 Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival and the 2014 African Film Festival in Luxor. He is currently working on his first feature film, LE CHANT DES TLOUS, for which he received funding at the Cannes International Film Festival in 2012 through the programme “Les cinémas du monde“.
