Klaus Jetz

Biography

Klaus Jetz has worked as a journalist with a focus on Latin America and as a translator for Spanish and Latin American literature. He was also involved in a Media Watch project for the Heinrich-Böll-Stiftung before taking up his office in 1995 as Spokesperson for the Lesbian and German Federation in Germany (LSVD) in Cologne and Berlin. Since 2004, he has also been the federation’s executive director, and since 2007 is responsible for its Hirschfeld-Eddy-Stiftung, which promotes the worldwide respect of human rights regardless of sexual orientation and gender identity. He has published numerous articles on the subject (such as one on the Arab Spring from a gay viewpoint).
