Biography

Hind Meddeb is a French-Tunisian journalist and documen-tary filmmaker based in Paris. Her 2008 film debut CASA-BLANCA. ONE WAY TICKET TO PARADISE is about the untold stories of Moroccan suicide bombers. From 2011 to 2013, she directed two documentaries tracing the Arab revolution from the perspective of young musicians in the slums of Cairo and throughout Tunisia. Hind Meddeb states about her cur-rent film PARIS STALINGRAD (2019): ‘I wanted to expose a hidden side of Paris while the French capital is closing its doors to asylum seekers, building fences to drive them from public spaces and creating new borders in the city centre. ́
