Abstract

The film focuses on the visit by internationally known artist Jean-Michel Basquiat to Côte d’Ivoire shortly before his death on 12 August 1988. It was the artist’s first encounter with Africa, on which he set all his hopes as he was already grappling with premonitions of his impending death.
