Abstract

Despite now being cured, Beshay’s face and hands still bear the marks of the leprosy he suffered from as a child. This means he is stigmatised as a “leper” in Egypt and the reason he has spent the past three decades living in a remote leper colony. But when his wife dies, he decides to find out where he actually comes from. He and the orphan boy Obama go in search of their roots – an adventure full of challenges for the two outcasts to overcome. “A. B.
