Abstract
PASSAGE À NIVEAU tells the story of an old railroad watchman who, day and night, lowers the gates at a level crossing
somewhere in Algeria. He is a widower and lives alone in his house next to the train line. He receives his salary in the post, until one day the postman arrives unexpectedly and delivers a letter that will change everything.
