The three films on this programme came about through the framework of the ANA HUNNA initiative, which is Arabic for
“I am here”. Non-governmental organisations in four Arabic countries – Egypt, Jordan, Tunisia, and Morocco – are working
to raise awareness of discrimination against women in the working world there. The project is supported through
the “Economic Integration of Women – MENA (EconoWin)“ regional programme of the German Federal Enterprise for International
Cooperation (GIZ). Between 2012 and 2014, nine short feature and documentary fi lms were fi lmed about discrimination
against women in their search for work and daily working lives, and the social prejudices that confront working women.
