Abstract

A beggar with a sign at the robots is a familiar sight in South Africa. This film takes a look at the life of one such beggar, a woman with two young sons. From her struggles to eke out a living on the streets of Johannesburg, to the difficulties in simply getting a sign, and the problems with medical care, violence, and tough choices, we get to experience the harsh realities of everyday life for these unfortunates.
