Abstract

BAROUD D`HONNEUR deals with tribulations of indigenes soldiers of the French army, whose destiny is split between France and Maroc for 60 years.
BAROUD D`HONNEUR follows El Ghazi Amnaye and Hammou Lhedmat during an official trip in France, the country they have never seen since the end of the war. After the surprising meeting again with the old combatants, El Ghazi and Hammou decide not to go back home to recieve the same treatment as the old French combatants. But they still don not know the bitter counterpart of this quest: they can only recieve the money if they reside in France 9 months per year. After they were given the honour at the 11th November commemoration, they go to live in a house for immigrated workers and discover the  loneliness in exile.
