Abstract

Is a road movie about Astrid Ariane Atodji`s painful search for traces of her family history and for her own identity.  The filmmaker takes her camera on the road with her from Cameroon to Benin, her father`s homeland. Forty years earlier, he not only left his village, but he left behind his family and a daughter. He has kept the reasons for doing so to himself until now. Astrid Ariane Atodji talks to her unknown relatives in Benin to try to find out why.
The film was shown at (documentary) film festivals in Gabon, Senegal and Burkina Faso, and at the Women`s Film Festival in Brazzaville.
