Abstract

In Waxi Naan, a band of friends collect metal drums, transforming them into metal sheets to make large boxes.

The first short films come from the series LE TRÉSOR DES POUBELLES by Samba Felix Ndiaye, one of West Africa’s most important cineastas. They portray people who eke out a living by repurposing rubbish and create new everyday objects using their vivid imaginations – using glass bottles and water in AQUA, and using old tar barrels in LES MALLES.
