Abstract

Moctar lives in Mali with his mother Saffi and his ailing grandfather. One day, Saffi receives a letter from France which overwhelms her with happiness. Ibrahim Sow, her husband and Moctar`s father, who has emigrated there, can at last accommodate them. Mother and son say farewell to Grandpa, as he cannot follow them.
