Abstract

The film tells the story of Arab feminism, one that is pretty much unknown in Europe. Feriel Ben Mahmoud interviewed women of different generations in Egypt, Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Saudi Arabia and Lebanon, and dug up archive footage to document the fight for women`s rights in predominantly Muslim societies that has been going on for more than a century.
