Abstract

After a call for amnesty the young Islamist Rashid leaves the mountains to return to his village in Algeria. Following the law „of forgiveness and national harmony“, he turns himself to the police and delivers his weapon. He receives amnesty and becomes a „Repenti“. However, in his village he is threatened, because he and his group brought to much suffering to the village. While  other Islamist groups continue to spread terror, Rashid works as a waiter in a café. In addition, he should look out for terrorists  helping the police. In order to raise money for his planned flight abroad, he takes the risk of an extortion attempt. But his past in  the underground seems to threatens to catch up with him…
